  1. 1. Should I upgrade stock to Boyds or upgrade to an Annie 1417 Thumbhole? and should I use MTC, or either Simmons WTC's on the rifle of choice

Hi all,

Following on from my previous post, I would like some input as to my choices.

I can either:

Buy in a Boyds stock from the States for my CZ 452 Varmint

or

Sell the CZ and buy an Annie 1417 Thumbhole

Then I need to decide if I should either:

Put MTC Viper 6-24-56 on either

or

Revert back to my original Simmons WTC 4-12x44WA PA

or

Use my other Simmons WTC 3.5-10x40

Input much appreciated.

Re what I do with the leftover scope(s)

one might go on a future rifle (not sure what, poss HMR) or be sold, or stored as spare.

Thanks for help guys

Putting a 'posh' stock on a CZ is like putting go faster strips and a big bore exhaust on a 1.1 fiesta, it's still a fiesta.

Buying an anni on the other hand is like buying a 911, you don't need stripes on it.

Most CZ owners who say they wouldn't change their gun haven't had anything different. Most anni, sako and HW owners say they would never go back to a CZ and there's a reason for that.

Why would you want to put a MTC Viper 6-24-56 on a .22 rimfire?

As markm said,

I have a cz with trigger kit, lovely gun to shoot but not in the same league as the sako quad I had.

:shaun:

I was scratching an itch.

Amazing scope!

Might transfer it to a hmr for long range bunnies etc

Get your point but analogy is poor.

Look at the R porsches they all have stripes etc on them

Cayman in green is foul to look at

I'm more of an Aston Martin fan! Def NO stripes on one of those!

Get the annie. And save your dosh and buy a Bushnell legend. The older model though made in philippines. They have much better glass then the wtc and mtc. I've had all of them I still have a mtc on my 22lr annie. But a couple of months back picked up this Bushnell legend to go on my 177 pcp air rifle.

And I have to say its superb. Im thinking of swapping them over now. Mtc on air rifle. And Bushnell on rimmy whats more being 25 mm tube its dead light..

As I have Zeiss scopes on other rifles which are great. I must say I was very impressed with the legend for the money. Well its no Zeiss it is very good for the money and superb for rimfire
