Rupert
Ask a solicitor to do an index map search,i think you can apply to the land registry yourself for this information if asking around doesnt work
malantone
Ask a solicitor to do an index map search,i think you can apply to the land registry yourself for this information if asking around doesnt work That sounds like it`s gonna cost money. much cheaper to knock on a few doors and ask,

poontang
ive seen some good fields not far from home but havnt seen anybody on them and not sure who owns them, any ideas how i can find out??? What's on the fields? If it's crops just find the nearest farm and ask. If the farmer doesn't own it he'll almost certainly know who does. bedwards1966
Ask a few local people, farmers always know who owns what.

Land Regsitry if the land is registered. If it isn't then you could maybe try the council but I don't know what info they will give you. J. arjimlad
Land Registry is about £10 or so and you can do a map-based search for the precise piece of land you need information on. http://eservices.landregistry.gov.uk/www/wps/portal/!ut/p/b1/04_Sj9CPykssy0xPLMnMz0vMAfGjzOKNjSxMDA1NjDwsjM3MDTxN3dyNDUNMjQ1MjIEKIvEocDckpD84NU8_XD8KTZm_m6OBp7GTv7e7caCRgYEZhgJUcyyMCCgAuQOswAAHcDTQ9_PIz03VL8iNqPDMDEgHAAblRA0!/dl4/d5/L0lDU0lKSmdrS0NsRUpDZ3BSQ2dwUkNTQS9ZSVVJQUFJSUlJTU1JS0VFQUFDR09HT0NHSUJKRkpGQkpORE5EQk5ISUVBTExBISEvNEczYUQyZ2p2eWhDa3lGTU5RaWt5RktOUmprS2NhZ21Rb2dnL1o3XzMyODQxMTQySDgzNjcwSTVGRzMxVDUzOFY0LzAvaWJtLmludi8yMDUyNTcxNTI0MjAvc3BmX0FjdGlvbk5hbWUvc3BmX0FjdGlvbkxpc3RlbmVyL3NwZl9zdHJ1dHNBY3Rpb24vITJmTWFwRW5xdWlyeUluaXQuZG8!/#Z7_32841142H83670I5FG31T538V4

Deiseboy
Call into the nearest farmers house/farm and ask who owns it. Every farmer will know who owns what land in the area.
