anser2
Gamebore mammoth 3 inch steel magnum 36 gr for medium sized **** ( wigeon gadwall , close mallard , ect ) 3.5 inch Remmington Sportsman steel 1 3\8 oz no 2 with a full ( .700 afterchoke )for flighting mallard as 40-50 yard range. 3.5 inch Remmington Nitro Steel BB and Winchester BBB with an ( .700 full after choke for geese in my semi auto and Kent Tungstun no 3 and 1 3 inch 40 gr loads for geese in my side by side when shooting in the sand dunes. If you are going to shoot geese with steel at 50 yard ranges a full choke after choke is very important otherwise you will wound to many birds. But an afterchoke balanced for the size of shot you use will kill well at 50 yards. Edited August 4, 2012 by anser2
super sharp shooter
Is that a half choke in lead that makes it full choke in steel
Wildfowler12
I was going to ask this question too! For me; Gamebore 32g Super Steel No.3s for duck Gamebore 42g Mammoth Steel BBs for geese I used No.4s and No.1s on the duck/geese for most of last season, and they performed well, but figured I'd go up a size this time round. It's interesting to see what others use. EDIT: All shot through 1/4 choke Edited August 4, 2012 by Wildfowler12
Wildfowler12
Gamebore3.5" no 1 for geese Sharpshooter, how do you find Gamebore no.1s on the geese? I used Laylvale no.1s last year and they worked well within 30yards, but I've decided to change to Mammoth BBs this time. Also, I think I recall you posting about your supernova sometime ago. What grease/oil do you use on the slider bars? Thanks

On all of my guns I use Browning Legiia spray seems to work ok for me. I'm looking forward to using the supernova this season t see if I can get a little more range with the 3.5" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Browning-750ml-Legia-Spray-/200800481593?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2ec0a43139 Edited August 4, 2012 by super sharp shooter

Terry P
I agree, but I thought you could only use lead inland.Non toxic only on the foreshore.
