Tim Kelly
Swap you your hard day for mine. I got 17 and had to constantly re-arrange the pattern just to get them vaguely in range and moved position twice.

JDog
It would appear that many people are having the same problem with birds not decoying. I have certainly had that problem on the last few outings. Others have said how they set up without the rotary. I am not that brave.
Tim Kelly
I started on Sunday without any dead birds. First dead one went on a bouncer, didn't seem to make any difference. Took and hour or more to get another couple for the rotary. As soon as I fired up the rotary it drew birds across the field from their preferred route (it was too close to the Pheasant pen to shoot them there, so I was having to try to pull them across the field). After a brief bit of action, and another bouncer going out, the action dried up. The birds were flaring away a long way out. I tried moving the pattern around and lots of fiddling. It improved slightly when I took the bouncers down and only used the whirly. By the end of the day the whirly was putting them off too as it improved again slightly when I took that down. The birds would at least fly over the pattern when it didn't have any bouncers or whirlies, so I could take some long crossers rather than flaring away 100 yards from the pattern which they ended up doing with any of the devices in the field. Weird stuff pigeon decoying! LOL
