Scully
If you have no ammo left ask them to send you back your old ticket. My FEO offered to give mine back at last renewal if I needed ammo, and as he said, licensing don't need it.You can always send it back when you get your new one. Steel100
+1 to Scully's comments. Also, do remember NOT to let your cert expire. SY Firearms Licensing seem OK now but used to insist that it was OK because they had given you a receipt. That is utter nonsense. Expired cert. = illegal possession. If they cannot return a new cert. within the time frame they should issue you with a temporary permit. Good luck! Andy
houlsby
There useless, mine was "posted" over a week before it dropped through my door... It's got some ******** about how a .223 is FOX ONLY (I stated in my interview it was also for long range bunnys on a certain permission and fox on another) I also had to ring humberside police to check someone had actually checked the whole farm as the fao insisted he'd just checked one field.. The fao is sound, I imagine he does more than his fare share.. It's because there firing people left right and centre and there's not enough body's to do the work in the first place! vulpicide
Do not give your cert back until you get your knew one. They dont NEED it they just WANT it just explain that you need it to show that A. that you have one. B. To buy ammo. C.Put your guns into storage if THEY are late with yor renewal. As am not getting much joy from the office. I think they cocked up and printed my licence befor they checked the land that's why they won't send me it back, and are waiting for the check maybe anyway. Vermincinerator
FEO's dont half take a lot of holidays, or is this just part of the standard answer you get when you ring up and enquire on the progress of your application/variation etc.... If they have such a huge backlog why dont they ask their staff to postpone their holidays untill the back log is sorted? Ian.
