Scope

Hello all, sorry if this has been asked before, i have tried searching for an old thread on it, bit no joy.

I'm looking for a new more prestigious scope for my .243, i have a Red Field on there at the moment but

really want to up grade to one of the top the makes of scope for the obvious advantages.

Iv been looking at a quality Ziess from Uttings as their doing them on a 12 month interst free credit term. Which

to me is better then saving up for one, or spending a large lump of hard earned in one go. The scope iv been looking at is

Victory Diavari 3-12x56 T* IR Rifle Scope with Second Image Plane Reticle

Now can any one explain to me the advantages, of say the same scope with just the First Plane Reticle

as to the one above with the Second Plane Reticle or vice versa. Is one better for hunting over the other

or is it just down to pure choice of what a person likes in a scope.

Any advice on this would be great thanks

For foxing etc the second is what you want if you get that one with the 60 ret you won't be disappointed. There are new zeiss scopes out and new swaro's so there are bargains about. I was looking for the bigger victory but settled on a z6i at 5-30x 50 and looking through both side by side you can't see any real difference.
