After russ got me my first graylag goose of the season I thort I would return the favour so after being on the stubble for geese we headed up to my grouse moor russ bagged his first grouse ten mins after...followed up by me with a pair....another fantastic day, plus saw a good amount of grouse witch looks good for the next few weeks

Will have to let you know on that mate...been a couple of years since I last had them but they are hanging in my garage as we speak...

 

Watched last weeks Fieldsports Britain they had a chef picking the young birds and frying the breasts, looked nice. We had a do at our ducks today, took a while for them to get up but we had 33 so not bad.

If they are young birds pluck and gut them and roast them. Taking the breast off young grouse is a waste. 30 mins in a hot oven with bacon wrapped over them.

 

If they are old grouse, take the breasts off, cut them in half to make four flat breasts from each bird and then hot fry/wok them for four minutes.
