stu nesling
took this beast of a vixen with the shotgun this afternoon. i was waiting at the end of the wheat with the wind in my face, the combine had cut most of the field and had about 4 runs left. i spotted some dust coming off the wheat at 40 yards where the fox was pushing through the wheat, it came closer and i could see the wheat moving as it got to about 25 yards and stopped on the edge of the crop. safety off......it burst out and made about 15 yards before dropping to 42g of 3's very dead. i was well chuffed to say the least. when the keeper came over to view it and he said nice dog fox! it wasn't until he checked it that he noticed it had no wheels!..lol. he was surprised at its size too. took this photo on my phone later on.......great evening and great scenery.
