Shotgunspud
Martyn2233, I didn't see his 3 shots sorry nor was I with them when this was filmed so I cant say why It took 3 shots? But Simon is known as a good shot!! but in the heat of the moment who can say why 3 shots where needed to finish the animal?? all I can say is I am sure he didn't want the Stag suffering so done what he thought was best, like any of us would of done. I am sure he will keep the head and look back on it as an experience not a good one but a experience...
al4x
I've not looked either but 3 shots never sounds good but isn't unheard of with red stags, In a way its a shame about the rack on it as otherwise most are head shots so go straight down. Ant8681
I am not saying it was easy but he did know that the deer was there and not out in the "wild". At the end of the day its a job that had to be done, he did it as well as he could but I dont see it as being as good a trophy as one stalked on the moors. scolopax
Looked like a cluster **** to me, clearly the animal was stressed out, tongue lolling running the wire. Maybe the Real Tree does'nt make you invisible after all. It looked very much like they had it separated from the hinds, so why not just let him out, wait on, that would mean £400 worth of venison not cashed in. Amazed that they aired it. If it happens two or three times every rut then maybe the fence should be higher?
al4x
assuming there isn't a deer leap to give them access in but not out....................
game_boy
Personally don't think it needed aired on TV, however some things just need to be done.
wildfowler.250
That was a grim video. Not very smoothly done either
