I am chuffed to bits with the results The recipe is- Bullet -69grn Sierra Match-king HPBT Case-Neck sized ,Once fired Remington trimmed to 1.760 Powder- Vihtavuori N135 23.5grns Primer- CCI Bench Loaded to a OAL of 2.243 So looking at the above which way do i go to improve this ?? dunganick
experiment with seating depth now, or maybe go very slightly up or down with the powder. There are many theorys to do with handloading.... optimum charge weight etc... Its a minefield of confusing theories. Nice job for your first load

Dont take this the wrong way, but are you just measuring the best shots, The other holes to the left, were they shot in the same detail ? i assume this is a .223 load. Steve Looks good so far

Steve Looks good so far Steve, To be honest that was the best group but the worst was 0.97in The other group if you can call it that is, some Federal Tactical Rifle Urban( where do these yanks get these names) 64grn shot at 150 yards, it was about 1.7in. And yes its .223 shot through my AR15

Shhhhhhh just a thought and it pains me greatly to say but shouldnt those groups be measured centre to centre? not on the outside edge? if so they are even better than you thought. still not a proper gun tho

sussex lad
Went to Bisley today to try my new favorite load at 200 yards and was pleasantly surprised Unfortunately no pics as before i could ask for the target to be saved the guy i was sharing the lane with put some dirty great 7.62 holes in it. Any way long story short 3 shots touching and two touching 1/2 inch lower total group size 1 1/4inches So one very happy bunny sitting here Anyone ever tried 69g Sierra HPBT on fox??
