Frenchieboy
The switch on my Lightforce 140 has finally given up the ghost and needs replacing. I was thinking about replacing it with the Lightforce Dimmer Switch but while looking through "The Bay" I found that I can get what looks like a clone of the Lightforce for near enough the same money as just the Dimmer switch on its own. My question is - Does anyone use these lamps and if so are they OK or are they false economy and unreliable? Here's the link to the scope mounted lamp that I am thinking of: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c2a943ed5 Edit: Maybe I should add that it will be used mainly for foxing out to about 150 - 200 yards Maximum with my .243 Edited September 29, 2012 by Frenchieboy
ajm1979
I've often seen these on evil bay many times and wondered if they would be any good
Dekers
In the great scheme of things it looks a good deal, not seen these before. As you say it seems to have a stock mounted dimmer which is usually about £35 in its own right. I didn't catch what bulb it has though, did I miss that, I guess a 30-35W unit? wymberley
See the current copy of Sporting Gun. I would guess that it'll be a 50 watt bulb and one question will be what type of dimmer does it have.

Frenchieboy
Being as they are a 140mm lamp could you not use the Lightforce filters if their own filters are not up to scratch?

Frenchieboy
im talking about the built in one infront of the bulb,,,,, the colourered filters are fine Ah, I see. What you are refering to is the lens on the front of the lamp unit! I guess the quality of that could create an issue.
