THE GRIFF
I have 2 bouncer poles, one from a1 decoys only used about 6 times and a jack pyke one that I've had for a while. Today both poles kept slipping round so I had to put tape on them. The thread on the tightening nut on the a1 decoys one has gone already and the jack pyke one just won't tight up enough. Surely other people must have experienced this, is there a DIY conversion I can do to stop this happening. Thanks in advance for any replies. matone
Drill small hole and put a pin/tack through ? Don`t know what yours are like but I had to do this to a floater that I bought from The Pigeon Shooter. It just turned upside down in a wind, also had to tie a check cord onto decoy to stop it doing backflips ! I find on windy days I cannot tighten the nut up enough to stop the birds spinning, so I use my Leatherman Multi tool to tighten it up and that does the trick. If you're handy with a welder, a friend of mine cut a large washer in half and welded the two halves on opposite ends on the nut, so now he can tighten it harder as it acts as a wing nut if that makes sense. humperdingle
Can you not weight the underside of the decoys?
DR JAMES
Just buy " hawkeye " bouncers they R briliant. I bought them off my M8 MOSA on here a long time ago now, he had bought them off HAWKEYE. They work realy well in strong or slight winds and the movement is fantastic just be carefull you dont mistake them for real ones when sitting in the hide as I have done on a number of occasions. They are that reallistic M8 and they get used every time i am out and i think i have had them a couple of years now. Well worth the money.
