wildfowler.250
Went out to the shore this morning with the dog. Few birds were moving but not much came my way. Managed one shot at a drake mallard as it passed me about 40 yards up. Was only 2 degrees when I got into the car this morning so nice to get some colder weather in! Gun is empty btw incase anyone is feeling pernickety. Cheers!

wildfowler.250
Thanks! He was in great plumage. Makes you feel a little guilty seeing something so bonnie dead but they taste awesome and they have a much better life than a 42 day old broiler! silver pigeon 3
A little bit of guilt after killing something so pristine is no bad thing, it shows a true respect to the quarry.
