Pedro
I'm trying to get a reasonably priced canvas and leather game bag, but can't find one anywhere, (apart from the one that I was outbid on by £2 on ebay ). Does anyone know of any manufacturers or shops that do them. Just a plain green or brown with a net front and no camouflage nonsense. Cheers. P. lurcherboy
Attleborough accesories do a few. I bought one five or so years ago and its still going strong probably due to the fact it is washable LB

Pushkin
Pedro, here are a few sites that do a good range of bags http://www.countrysupplies.com/list.asp?deptid=290 http://www.leathercrafts.com/system/index.html http://www.swiftys-fishing-tackle.co.uk/ca...5dfe6bca1738613 http://www.napieruk.com/gamebags.html http://shootingaccessories.william-powell....3&sn=5&cat_id=6 http://www.avalon-shop.co.uk/shop/index.ph...0cea0822a6758b3 Mines a Liddesdale by Barbour, bought for me by the missus some 20 years ago - cost a mint but still looks mint after all these years of abuse on the estuary mud flats and in the field - well worth the investment. You don't seem to get them nowadays but this one on the top site above looks very similar 'Chapman 'Best Westmorland' Game Bag'. Go on - treat yourself  Pushkin
lurcherboy
Pushkin, Was you shopping at the same place as me? OH MY GOD!!! That will only work if your gay, not that I know, but rumours etc. Talk about a blast from the past! 25 years ago I went into Swiftys bait and tackle shop for some carp gear. I had a good chinwag with the lads, and a cuppa, then asked about a black widow. They didn't sell them anymore 'cos the local kids were trying to kill the gaffa's, fair enough  Anyway, over the next two years I spent £1,000's in this little hidden away shop, and I never regretted one penny of it. Can't say how happy I am am that they are still in business, all together now, La La La Sarf London, La La La, Sarf London. Yes I know I am singing on my own. Dunkield
I was bought a green one with netting on the side and a removable liner (it also came with a free bass bag) and I am pretty sure it is a Shakespeare, does what it says on the tin... Pedro
Oh dear, what have you done Pushkin I was about to plump for a "buy it now" £19.99 one on ebay, but thought I'd just take a look at PW to see if anymore replies had come in. Now I've seen the bags from your first link, nothing else will do  Problem is, this was being bought with some money from a leaving collection, so how do I hide the fact from Mrs P that I'm buying a rotary AND a game bag P. Pushkin
Pedro, just tell her they are back in fashion again and offer to let her use it occasionally Leave it to her pals to tell her it isn't back in - and then you can have it all to yourself!
