pigeon pete Posted October 14, 2012 Report Share Posted October 14, 2012 hi we went out on sat and started to shoot about 11.30 set up hide and 12 shells ,magnet and 3 bouncers ,in a bean field that we shot 2 weeks ago and had 71 pigeons ,we managed to pick up 47 and lost 25 in the undergrowth ,we shot aprox 150 carts ,lol but wat a cracking day Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did you have a dog? i was the dog !! i have a springier cross ,took me years for her to say i could have a dog ,i trained her for 6 months and was great with the gun ,then her that must be obeyed said i cant take her shooting ,she is now a spoilt pet ,i have been nagging at taking her with us ,but she has gone gun shy ,and is 8 years old , didn't know if she was to old to try again ,she still retains everything i tough her ,but when the guns come out she runs away ?? To lose 25 out of 71 is a real pity. its just the one spot were we found a flight line ,my legs were stinging like mad as i didn't want them to go to wast ,next time we go over there were going to move to the other side of the field and there is only a small hedge and a field right behind ,so will be able to pick up the fallen birds , Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
