Man-o-woods
I have been driving along this paticular road for the last couple of months watching the pigeon numbers in the fields build up and up.there doesn't appear to be anyone shooting it. How can i find out who owns the land and the shooting. M-o-w
Sprackles
Set up without asking....you'll soon find out....... Seriously though...its a point I have always wondered myself.
Hamster
Knock on the closest country house to the land and politely explain you're a pigeon shooter perhaps even name drop a local farmer whose land you shoot and just ask whether they're aware who farms it. In my experience nine times out of ten not only will they know but often supply useful info that may well help you when you do approach the right man. Cranfield
The only sensible way to find out is to ask anyone you see locally, or go into the nearest Farm. If its not theirs, they will tell you whose it is.
blade
The way i do it is if you see pigeons or rabbits on some land near me .i go home look on google at the land and look for farms around the area .Then go on yell.com type in farms or farmers in the nearest village or town to the land you want to shoot .Then either ring them or drop by and knock on the door they can only say no
Franchi Harrier
Land registry may give you the info but normally charges £4 a search
garden gun
Just a small point, the owner/tennant of the land may not necessarily own/be able to grant the sporting (shooting) rights. Ask the question - the farmer may not have thought about it until you ask.
