Guest shez 1
I was looking on the net last night, for recipes for cooking rabbit etc. came across a site with recipes for cooking CROW. Basically prepared and cooked the same way as pigeon. Anyone tried it?

SNAKEBITE
I have tried it in a pie along with other meats. It is very dark and a bit ropey so I wouldn't bother again. The Victorians used to go out every May and pull the young branchers from the nests and eat those. That was meant to be quite a nice meat. Cranfield
Young rooks are very tasty, especially with mixed meats in a pie, or casserole. I have tried adult rook and crow, neither was worth a repeat performance. There is not much meat on a rook and it was sour and stringy, the crow was the almost the same, but worse. pin
I've got this dvd http://199.236.90.72/EATING_CROW.htm from www.thecrowroost.com Very good, shows you how to call them in and all that, they do use deeks but it seems to be all about calling for crows. They have about 20 odd "words" and are extremely clever. Had a little bash the other day, takes some skill to learn and reproduce the calls but I was having some success first time out. Don't know about eating them, this Gerry feller who made the DVD eats them, I aint so sure
