ack-ack
Anybody getting any sport? I wanted to go tonight over low water as there was a nice surf but I spent the evening watching water and steam ******* out of the land rover instead. Gillaroo
Yes, Dungeness is fishing brilliantly. Had first codling of the season on Friday to whole squid 40 yards out behind boats. Bass being caught mainly in daytime and cod at night. A few big ones have been caught as well. Whiting can be a pain though so I'd suggest big baits. -Mongrel-
Similar over this way, Cod are starting to come out, Bass fairly regular, whiting becoming a pain in the ****! A few Pollack coming out of the rockier areas on lures!!!!

Cranfield
Some cod are being caught at both Sandgate and Dungie, a friend had two around 7lb at Sandgate on Sunday afternoon, between 4pm and 6 pm. He caught them both on large cuttle fish baits, his other rod had lug/squid on and he was "bothered" by small whiting and dogfish on that. ack-ack
That all sounds encouraging. It might be time to dust off the rods. I must admit that due to a dismal spring and summers sport I put them away in disgust. This coupled with the fact that a 'mate' who bought an 18ft dinghy back in May keeps bagging up three times a week and hasn't once offered me a trip out in it. Cheeky swine, I used to take him beach fishing all the time and he's dropped me like a chuffing hot potato for all his boat club mates. Typical!!! Mongrel - You still getting action on lures from the beach??
Fatcatsplat
Anyone fish off Sheppey? I've had 4 or 5 goes and blanked every time - Must be somewhere on that shore to catch fish?

-Mongrel-
Mongrel - You still getting action on lures from the beach? ? Absolutely! A mate ***-Brighton fishing guide and I took 8 in 2 hours a couple of weeks ago, and he and a client had 10 in the dark early last week, before it blew up,on lures! There are some good fish about mate, and if this weather holds long enough for the seas to clear enough, I'll be back out in the next day or two! With high water getting closer to dusk as the week wears on, it'd be rude not to! We are finding the first couple of hours past high to be productive. I'm twitching to get out now. I'll have a flick through the tides and try and get out this weekend. I'm reluctant to post too much on the forum but I've had some reports myself of some sizeable spikeys coming from the local beaches. Even if it is bull I like the expectation. The inevitable dissapointment afterwards is less desirable.
