dunksey
Hi Guys, I shoot a large crop farm with plenty of game and birds on it but latley i have been missing everything. I had a tip to start shooting more in front of the pigeons but its not working at all.......and it seems that my old style has deserted me........im shooting short of the rabbits...never done hat before!! And as the pheasant etc season is due I certainly want to try and get back in the groove.... I know that it can be in the head a bit but i'm always positive and really enjoy a few hours walking anyway.... So what I'm looking for is a some ideas for practice without without live game.... I do stick up paper to check the choke spread and never miss....lol.....but what else can you do? Thnaks in advance

Cranfield
A few rounds of sporting clays should sort you out. Shooters that don't shoot that often throughout the year, don't seem to realise that they can get "rusty". If I have a break of even a month or so, I will try to get a round of clays in before I go out again.

Mungler
The best tip I ever had was "don't miss". If only I had listened. My slightly more practical top tip is the Clay Coach series of DVDs.

pin
Best tip is "how many birds come to you?" Unless you look like robbie williams this might mean something to you, you have to move to them and swing through them Also, you don't miss many birds in front, much more likely behind
