evo Posted December 1, 2012 Report Share Posted December 1, 2012 one for gordon, here is an oil painting of my father,it was painted in 1950 by a famous artist called James Cliffe at the blue coat chambers in l.pool. mr cliff was the artist assigned to paint the portrait of the queen which hangs in the queensway tunnel between liverpool and birkenhead.it cost my dads manager £1200 which was a hell of a lot of money in 1950 as a present for my nan for helping him make my dad turn pro,,it was passed on to me on my 16th birthday,it now takes its pride of place in my dining room,, it measures 4ft x 3ft6in Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
