I'm lucky that i have enough time to get out abit, might not make it out this weekend due to a busted starter though, going to be a cold wet job putting the new one in if it arrives tomorrow! anser2
I guess how you define enjoying your wildfowling. When I was younger i went what ever the weather , but as these days I can pick my days I usualy avoid heavy rain. Sitting in the bottom of a muddy creek in freezing temperatures as it poures down with rain loses its apeal a little as you get older. I shoot to enjoy myself and a wet a*se does little to emhance that enjoyment. Having said that it I know the morning is a dead cert for a good chance at the pinks i will usually go no matter the weather. I will never forget one weeks holiday shooting on the Wash when it poured down every flight. For 5 mornings we had hardly seen a bird and nether of us had fired a shot. On the 6th morning we arrived at the car park , of course is was chucking it down as as we got ready my mate opened the tail gate of his car to let the dogs out. My mates dog bounded out , but my yellow lab stuck her head around the tailgate sniffed the rain and turned around and went back to sleep in the car. She was right we never got a shot , came back soaked while my dog , bone dry in the back of the car streached and gave us a knowing look as though to say" I knew it would be a waste of time ".
