Catweazle
That's quite a fast powder, I've been wondering if it would be suitable for loading 12g subsonics.
1066
It's not far away from Red dot and there's plenty of loads for that - I used to use Red dot/Blue dot in handgun loads as it was half the price of Bullseye.
Oops Missed Again
Yes very fast powder. I've got a few tubs floating about and it would be good to use it up. 14-17 grns under 7/8 of shot rings a bell in my old brain but not 100% sure. roughshooter
Clive - I have some data in an old Lyman book somewhere I will try to dig it out later Graham
Guest cookoff013
yes its a fast powder, it is at the same burnrate as hodgdons titewad, and loads nearly identical. it operates in the same range, it has a very similar density too. the reason it is not often used as a shotgun powder, is it overlaps alliants powders, promo and their reddot. it is suitable for 32g subsonics, i`ve seen data for it. i prefer hodgdons titewad, but thats just me. if you do check out some loads that use identical components, titewad and bullseye are virtually identical. Oops Missed Again
Thanks Mick I will give that a try. Sounds a bit heavy on the grains. How crisp is crisp
Mick Shaw
You could start at 17.0 grains and work up.I started at 17.0 and got a little residue--it cleaned up at 18.0. 19.0 was ok but I found 20.0 to be better.just do it slowly.
