gibspoon
I've already had an early crimbo present, but my good lady still wants to put something under the tree for me, bless her. Can anyone suggest a nice folding knife within a £70 budget? I've confused myself to pieces looking at them, and I've become blinkered by Buck and Kershaw. Any ideas welcome! gibspoon
I'm addicted to the Heinnie website, that's half the problem! I like the idea of a kit, and probably will get one at some point. The link added by Richard756 for the Perkins website...they are beautiful fixed blades, but I'm not sold on the folders. At the moment it looks like the Kershaw Piston. But its lacking some je ne sais qois...
Dunkield
What do you intend to use it for?
gibspoon
Its for the field. Something compact, that's good for paunching, gutting and hopefully gralloching if I can convince the old fella to take me out for a hind. Dunkield
Then have a look at a swing blade perfect for the grollach... That would have been my suggestion, but probably a bit big for your other work. I wouldn't be too put off by the cheaper damascus blades, I bought one recently and it pretty good, not outstanding of course but not bad either.
