Gordon R
I have just bought a 20 bore Hatsan Escort semi-auto, for my grandson. He is nearly 7 and I don't particularly want him knocked off his feet. Does anyone know what is the lightest load 20 bore cartridge that a Hatsan will cycle? TbirdX
Ours cycles 21g no problem, not sure what the lowest load in 20g you can get is.
Gordon R
TbirdX - thanks for that. 21grm was what I had in mind. Edited December 21, 2012 by Gordon R
Livefast123
How do you find it Gordon?, i'm seriously considering getting one for the Mrs after she enjoyed her second time at clays and has said she wants a gun. She fell in love with the 20g Beretta 686 Onyx she was using and liked the 'pretty' wood and engraving but I had to tell her that they were only for teaching people to shoot......... bruno22rf
My lads Hatsan will only cycle certain 21gram loads so I dont bother with them-with 28gram its so light on the shoulder, recoil wise, that we stick with the 28's. TbirdX
We used 21g Eleys and they cycle the action fine but get the odd jam with them. What brands have you tried Bruno?
bicykillgaz
I've recently got a 20g hatsan pump action and let my wife have a go to see if she could pump it (ooh err!) and she finds it easy to operate it, could be worth having a look at them as with them been a pump you can put what ever you like through it. There about £270-£320 new so cheaper too.
Continental Shooter
I've tried 24g trap and they are fine on mine! Gun is alright, nothing special bt does it's job and with 76mm chamber I can use it for geese as well! All in all good value for money as far as I'm concerned! Cheers, Franco
Gordon R
How do you find it Gordon?, Advertised on here - guns wanted. Bought from a top lad in Yorkshire (derekbomag). Not used it yet, as I only picked it up late last night. Got to cut the stock down as well. Edited December 21, 2012 by Gordon R
