spanj
Epoisses is a thing of beauty but it is rather gamey. Carrying one unsealed is, I gather, discouraged on French public transport. It tastes a lot better than it smells, though in fact I like the smell too. Get one in Waitrose and wait for the to go about a week past the sell by date and don't keep it in the fridge for the last few days. Eat at room temp with crusty bread and a spoon and something like a Mersault. & for the less cultured amongst us.............. cathedral city is 1/2 price in Tesco Merry Christmas all
Mungler
We don't buy Blacksticks Blue anymore. It's like crack and if I know it's in the fridge....

jmooney
I'm not that adventerous when it comes to cheese. I do like a strong cheddar and I had a wedge of huntsman the other day that was amazing.

rimfire4969
What's good to start with to work my way up? I would start with a Brie served at room temperature with a cracker or two or maybe a roquefort blue cheese nice tang not not too strong. jmooney
Funny this came up because I had a beef short rib with a double creamy blue from a local creamery on it. Stuff was bloody fantastic!
