contrysports Posted December 31, 2012 Report Share Posted December 31, 2012 i'm planning on buying an old side by side as a project gun and do it all up. i have a rough idea of how to do the barrels and the stock but i was just curious to whether anyone knows how to clean up the engraving. thanks for looking and all help appreciated. demonwolf444 Posted January 4, 2013 Report Share Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) mine was a bit uncared for when i got it, i used some valve grinding compound on a tooth brush, then oil and a fresh tooth brush to wash it out.. it got rid of some of the stuff that was stuck/stained in the engraving and polished it up a bit..
