Just digging through some old cd's and found Leftism by Leftfield. Listening again and it shows quality doesn't age at all. Won the mercury music prize in its time (11 years ago). Not to everyone's taste I am sure, but some of you must remember it and value it as a work of art like I do.

I still have fragments of my conciousness spread evenly between clubs and dwellings between here and Newcastle.

Couldn't have put it better myself! I have some very fond memories associated with that album. :lol:

 

Glad there are some kindred souls on here :lol:

 

I don't think it would be out of place for me to assume the kind of memories they might be, either :lol:

 

Its an album which tells a story, a musical story. Since then I don't thin there has been a work like it which you can take every single track and "get it", yet listen to the whole thing as a complete work and still "get it".

 

Just look at the people involved, instrumental people who shaped a lot of the music we have today.

 

And people say the beatles were influential :lol:
