Actionpigeons
Now the real question, dig you pluck, clean and cook any of the pigeons over the fire you made. No we didn't, but must admit the thought crossed our mind after we made the fireAlas no frying pan, stick to my cheese and onion butties

rimfire4969
That photo Takes me back. About 25 - 30 years ago every Saturday used to be spent with a very good mate of mine shooting flight line pigeon in the chiltern hills. We used to get in place before first light catch the pigeon on the way out, then light a fire, take breasts of any pigeon we shot and cook them over a fire on green sticks for breakfast. Then we would rough shoot for pheasant. lunch would be more pigeon or anything else we had shot pheasant, rabbit, squirrel or more pigeon. Then Back on the pigeon in the afternoon. Anytime feeling cold we would go and stand by the fire. Some of the best days of my life were spent on that wooded hill in bucks.
