wildfowler.250
Well I'm currently in Glasgow for uni and tend to go up north at the weekends to go wildfowling.. I was wondering if there is anywhere in the Glasgow area worth shooting? Or would happily take a trip south somewhere for a couple of days,(just to see somewhere different). I assume most places require some sort if guide or club member to show you around? Any suggestions of somewhere for a short trip would be appreciated,(and also when)! This will obviously be for next season. Thinking along the lines of solway, lindisfarne ect

big bad lindz
How far do you want to travel. As TJ91 says you have a good number of options as to where to go. From Glasgow up the A9 a good 3-4 hrs will take you to gods country (IMO depending on your take on god.) Nearer to Glasgow as you know have the Solway & Wigton there is also some shooting to be had around Dunbar area although you will need a permit I think. Contact the East of Scotland Wildfowlers there a few members in PW. If you are thinking of north of Inverness drop me a pm. BBL
ayano3
Wildfowler 250, maybe if you had said you would like to go to a particular place/area and asked for any help or assistance in getting on a particular marsh it may have got a better response. It was a little open ended (after the Glasgow area) but admire the fact you are willing to travel. The Wash is a fair journey from Glasgow. But at least you did ask in a good manner, hope you find somewhere to go.

Thanks for the reply I left it fairly open just because i was happy with any suggestions The wash would be some distance but I will have to do it some day! I'll maybe look at the permits for lindisfarne/solway and report back!
