Also I called in at nottingham and district gun club and they were very friendly. Same cant be said about their neighbours mind! What sort of prices should I be looking at per lesson guys? bakerboy
£40-£60 It is not about the number of cartridges you shoot it is about what they teach you
lksopener
As much as that baker boy? I was sure id seen tuition for about £25 a session.
EdSolomons
Depends where yo go, but expect between £50-100/hour. Early days so any reasonable club coach should be the best bet for you value/conenience wise.

Julesy
Hi Liam, Our neighbours went out of business last December, we have now expanded into the space that they left and developed a lovely new English Sporting range. To give you and anyone else full visibility of what we charge please read the info below. We charge £40 for your first lesson as it involves approx an hour off range (going through all the safety info - your other half may know most of it but we ensure anyone who is taking lessons with us has the same basic grounding before they even start). After the off range session you will then go onto the range with your instructor for a 50 target session (this normally takes about an hour but we try not to work in terms of time becasue evryone is different - it will take as long as it takes!) Any further lessons that you have with us are £35 and are all practical on range sessions on a one to one basis. Each lesson includes 50 clays, 50 cartridges, instruction, loan of all equipment including gun (we have a range of different guns so will be able to find one that suits and make adjustments to get it just right) and insurance. You will not have to buy any equipment until you are ready and if you need help choosing a gun - our instructors will very often travel to the gun shop with you to make sure you are buying what is right for the disciplines you shoot - this service is not charged as it is something they do on their days off out of the goodness of their hearts!!!! (Bless them!) When you are ready to practice on your own we have some stepping stone sessions called Sunday Club - they are for new shooters who shoot in a squad with group support from an instructor (they bridge the gap from one to one instruction to shooting a full round in a squad). Once you have completed all of this you will have a really good base to build on - at this point if you want to take it further then there are a number of excellent coaches that can take your shooting to the next level - Ed comes highly recommended by anyone that has had any sessions and is based in East Midlands. Hope all that helps but if you need anything else just let me know. Cheers Julia (NDGC) PS We also have a couple of Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club days booked in - these are ladies shooting days that invlove a day of instruction and cake Great for shooting ladies to meet each other and build a network of shooting friends.
