wymberley
You're probably going to have to ask ASI or AYA themselves - the latter are particularly helpful. You should find a two digit code lurking somewhere close to the serial number. Guessing from the serial number, the second digit will definitely be a 2 and the first, possibly D or E. Together these indicate the date of manufacture - D is 1984 and E, 1985 (when they got to Z, the next alphabet run would have had the second digit as 3). JJsDad
It would help if you said whether it is an ejector or not. You wont get the model from the serial number only unless ASI can identify it ! A photo of the action would clarify it. matone
Unless it has 25" barrels,it pretty much has to be a No4.
wymberley
There's a few on Gun Trader with pictures which may just help.
JJsDad
If its ejector with minimal engraving that looks like its been done by an apprentice with a 6inch nail & a lump hammer; its a No: 4. Have a browse through GunTrader for a price; if its in good condition the 20 bores sell for a bit more than the 12.
WelshAndy
if you email AYA the serial number they will give you the model and year of manufacture http://www.aya-fineguns.com/historia_en.php?kind=Historicos%20de%20numeros%20de%20serie
