Bows
I went to test drive a Landy today, everything fine with it except trying to engage the diff lock. It worked fine in Hi and Low ratios but I couldn't get it across to diff. The owner has never used the diff so do you think it may have seized or any other problems it could be? HDAV
Did you try reversing then putting it in? Seem to remember to have to or is that afterwards?
Bows
That's usually after you disengage the diff.
Paul223
the lever tends to seize if not used, very easy to fix
Bows
How do you go about fixing it? Is it a job for the garage or can you DIY?
Dr_evil
you need a hammer, a crowbar and some grease if that doesn't work then you need to take off the trim and free the box up from the inside by taking off inspection cover and playing about a bit

Billy.
If you put some decent tyres on it, you'll pretty much never need to use the diff lock.
al4x
come on who buys a broken vehicle just get the owner to get it fixed before you buy it. Then you can set about mending all the bits you didn't know were broken
