adbirdy
Old and New, You can get knife making materials from www.brisa.fi it's in Finland but I have used them and can recommend them, the stuff comes over really quickly. You can also get loads of useful info and help on the British Blades forum another source of info are the Bushcraft forums just stick it into Google and it will come up for you. If I remember rightly they have some kind of encyclopedia of handle materials with pics under the edged tools topic heading!! Hope you find what you are looking for. pin
I know Attleborough Accessories have a selection of knife-making bits and bobs, they are in the UK. Not used them for knife bits but have used them for other stuff, would recommend them to anyone.

Suffolk shooter
I was given a Brusletto Falken Knifemaking Kit from Attleborouh Accessories for xmas £30.00. You make up the knife and sheath and everything you need is in the pack. Cheaper than buying the knife Pre-made £40. Plus you get to enjoy making it, knowing that when you use it its been done by your fair hands. I'd recommend it to anybody just getting started in knife making. Suffolk shooter
We will want to see the 'before' and 'after' on that one SS Show me yours and I will show you mine Well the before can be seen on their website and the after, if you come to the meet at Lakenheath (When I've arranged it), I'll bring it along. I've stained the handle with Linseed oil rather than stain. thinking about whether to give it a thin coat of lacquer on top?? I only want to see yours in the knife sense though, ok. Dunkield
H & SS, This is the one I was bought a couple of years ago, there is a bit more to do on it than the other Brusletto kit as you have to shape the handle and make the sheath from scratch. If I remember rightly Gibby made one up as well, the quality of the wood is outstanding for the money. I would like to buy one the blades Attleborough do and make one up from scratch next, but I already have too many knives/sticks/flies/fishing rods from previous DIY crazes So i should look to do what Henry did and make them for friends, or do comissions. Dunkield
I realised the other day that this thread is an almost complete repetition of a previous one in this section
