continued from yesterday.

Hi all

We all left early this morning and drove to yesterday's shoot to see what was on there and NOT A BIRD in sight. (Must of shot them all)

Tried another farm on some drilling we had seen yesterday and a couple of huge flocks of rooks & Jackies took flight off the field.

We set up two hides 50yards apart and 2 sets of deeks and within minutes the blackies had returned and yet again some lovely long & high birds were dropping out of the sky.

I was "calling" like a madman to the extent that I have " blown my crow call whistle to bits".

Alan didn't join us at first as he had to nip off to see a farmer and pick up a few ton of corn to scatter on the ponds & rivers in ready for the fat ducks etc; possibly, for us to shoot in the next week or two.

Again I had to disappear for an hour or two to have a Sunday Carvery with the family for my Daughter's 21st Birthday.

:yp: :(  :happybday: :happybday:

But once that was finished I got changed back into my camo and shot back to the "patch" to meet up for a likely wildfowl take-off from the lakes.

Alan informed me that the total picked up was 82 x Blackies and 20 pigeons.

Nice 100 bird bag again.

We walked to the lakes and waited till it just got dark and BINGO; we got the FULL-HOUSE of quarry.

7 x Canada's downed in one volley of shots.

Many thanks to the "Shepherd" (Alan) , for walking the banks and flushing them straight to us.

Great weekend had by all, and some piccies to follow later ; be it from a mobile phone . God help the quality.
