Mr pigeon
Hi people just wondering what people would rather buy. The pro decoys or fud decoys? Thinking of new decoys so thought I'd ask Cheers
shakin stevens
I have had both, fuds didn't like them then treated myself to the prodecoys to be fair they look the part but you still don't have any movement same with the fuds, if i was going to buy any decoys i would buy good flock coated shells these days. motty
I have pros, fuds and shells. My pros have turned a slightly purple colour in the sun and the plastic will break inside if you're not careful. The fuds look the most realistic when out in the field and i haven't broken one yet. You can get movement from shells, but i don't think movement is required if using in conjunction with a magnet or flapper. I don't have a favourite as such, but the pros are the least value for money.
Mr pigeon
Cheers motty I'm of that exact opinion. I have a rotar and couple of flappers and bouncers. Tried shells on the rape will little joy. A mate put his fuds out and a few birds dropped in. I think the gadgets will add enough movement don't you think? I'm a bit lazy, so i can't be bothered to set decoys on spring sticks unless i have to. I get height by placing the shells on top of the crop. I think the movement of magnets is enough and the decoys don't need to move.
TIGHTCHOKE
Sportplast half shells on the right banding steel will give a little movement and look good.
