Pedro
I don't know if I should be shouting about this or not, but at last it seems as though something is hitting the rape on one of my permissions. I went for a walk with Mrs P. to show her where I spend an awful lot of my spare time and to my horror, found a patch in the middle of a field that had been chewed to bits. This is right on the edge of about 50 acres of OSR and I can't see why they've gone for this and not the rest. Needless to say, on my next few days off I'm going up there with everything in the bag and will try to sort it out. My big concern is the size of the fields, they can go anywhere. A few hours with the bino's I feel, (although I'm pretty sure of the flight lines already). P.

Cranfield
I can understand when the crop starts to get high, that pigeons will go for the lower areas. However, its strange when the rape is still low, how pigeons seem to like feeding along the edge of a "grazed" area. I would decoy that area with some confidence. Don't worry about it getting colder, I have just been outside and its blowing a hoolie and its very, very cold.
