hi

well biginners luck has run out,

when i first started with the shot gun (12g aya)done a few stints at green fields 25birds got respectfull

late teens, now it is dropping quicker than a intact clay.so now i feel it is not fair to any quary to chance a bungled shot

been along to martin gorse clay club a few times now great shoot very welcoming but being a lone shooter it's a bit of a pain have to keep asking some one to pull (although theres never been a prob )but i would'nt want to become a pain

so if there if any one out there in need of a nother lone shooter let us know and we can sort something out

cheers wayne

Where I shoot we mostly go around the sporting course ina group of 4 or 5, the traps are all electric so the person not shooting just presses the button, no big deal. I thought it would be like that at most clay clubs, am i wrong?

yes but as i said im a lone shooter

Black Hat, Bradders and I met this morning at the Martin Gorse Clay Shoot outside of Dover.

Unfortunately, Black Hat had to leave before the shooting began, as his Wife was unwell.

Bradders and I teamed up with an Underkeeper named Danny, to shoot a 70 bird round of Sporting.

Unfortunately, my bad knee playing up, new shooting glasses, wrong cartridges, bad trapping and excuses 357 to 832 from the Clay Shooters Handbook, all conspired to make me a dismal third, with Danny (only his second time on clays  ) narrowly beating Bradders to be the Top Gun.

A good fun morning was had by all and the clays were rather testing on most layouts, as the wind made them behave differently every pull.

The Organisers had also placed the woodland traps, so that the shooters helped clear some of the trees, everytime they shot.

I have never shot Martin Gorse before and would recommend the layout to anyone.

Although it was busy, we never waited too long on any stands and the fact Bradders had been there before, was helpful in finding our way around.

Will definitely do that again. :P
