bigman
Looking to sell my 101 in the near future so looking for a idea on value , private sale and what to expect if I trade it in on a new gun , Winchestor 101 xtr pigeon grade Lefthand stock with nice wood 30 in barrels with fixed choke barrels marked at full an imp mod but I think they may have been taken out slightly but not sure , I'm sure this gun used to be a trap gun once as it has wide rib and chunky fore end , it doesn't have the normal trap stock thou, seems more sporter like , all in pretty good condition for its age few marks here and there but nothing major bores look nice and bright , Opinions please

gemini52
I put a nice winchester made parker hale trap on gunwatch, its similar to the grand european,i put 475 on it,all i got was silly offers and time wasters,in the end i sold it to a dealer for 350,which pained me,but i needed the money to put towards a new gun,by all means put it on gunwatch going by my experience dont expect to much good luck Edited March 18, 2013 by gemini52
bigman
Hmm I'd rather keep it and not use it than give it away ,
gemini52
Hmm I'd rather keep it and not use it than give it away , Dont blame you i wish i could have kept the parker hale, but i needed the money to put towards a new beretta, the only consolation is the guy i sold it to said he has no intention of selling it,he wants it for pheasant and pigeon. gemini52
If you have cash in your pocket you a have a bargaining chip,i spoke to two dealers at the weekend and they both told me there are a glut of guns about at the moment,so this effects the trade in price,i tried for weeks to find a decent used beretta within a resonable distance from home, gave up in the end and bought a new gun,one dealer told me he is buying loads of guns in at the moment for buttons, but he is hanging on to them till the prices go up. I was speaking to my local dealer who was telling me that he was struggling to get good quality s/hand guns atm, he has a stock room in the back and even looking there I have never seen it looking so empty. I found what I was looking for at a dealers that I don't normally use so got the gun I wanted eventually
