Lord Geordie
I have been waiting for a piano keyboard being delivered through the post for the last month nearly and today was given a tracking number for the package. Turns out they tried delivery on 2 or 3 occasions and saw fit not to put a "sorry we missed you" card through the door. It's just as well i checked when i did as it's been sat in the depot for 5 days and no doubt would be just about ready for "return to sender" Really get on my goat though HOW do they expect you to know they tried delivery when they don't leave a card to tell you? I have just gone down their throats in an Email (kept clean of course) unfortunatley Not that anything will come of it but WHY should people trust a cowboy opperation like this when they can't even do their jobs right? By Appointment of her Majesty? They have a cheek putting that on their doors With all the cock ups it should be (by appojntment of Sir Hugh Heffner) With all the comical delivery attempts perhaps ( by appointment of Sir Chubby Brown) I for one will not be using Parcel farce again in the near future! white fox
For my business I have used many different carriers over the years, my conclusion is they have all got problems. For the last year I have been using p@rcelforce with their on-line collection and tracking system. I have to say no issues at all, I normally use the 48 service and most are delivered the next day. Have recently had nightmares with imports using DPD. WF
pin
To have it right, they do handle a lot more uk packages than anyone else, so they will always loose out in the stats. Good to hear a positive, as I am sure the millions of packages they do deliver properly result in millions of stories like this one, and its only right they get some good press. I just have more bad than good experiences.
al4x
I'm in the parcels industry and I have to say they are no better and no worse than most in the overnight parcels market. The problem is you get what you pay for. parcel force have made loads of their drivers self employed and they get a set rate per delivery. That rate is the same if they have to re-deliver if you are out. If you live anywhere semi remote this means it costs the driver to make your delivery hence they occasionally say its been carded without trying it etc and also leave things when they shouldn't. The theory is if you complain they'll say they've tried twice and now you need to collect from the depot What I will say in their favour is they don't tend to damage stuff like a lot of the others.
