After chatting to a guy a on another forum, i would go for the Parker Hale.

The crown was not a good finish, so he done that then took off the SAK and tried it with the Parker Hale, and the groups have shrunk even more. All to do with the harmonics of the barrel :good:

Apologies for hijacking the thread slightly, but does anyone have any experience of the dubiously named "Wildcat Growler" .17 moderator?- I have taken a look at one, it seemed very well made and I like the fact that most of the tube shrouds the barrel.

I currently have a cheap webley moderator on my .17 - I'm not sure how much extra performance a wildcat would provide, but would be interested to hear if anyone has any experience of them.

Many thanks

Extremely well made, strippable to clean and quite nice to look at. :P

Bit expensive though for a rimfire.
