TJ91
With the bright days over this week I have had a couple of late evening shoots. Setting up at 4.15 after work, had a couple of double figure bags so far, getting more in a couple of hours at that time than I did in full days throughout winter. Pigeons are commuting themselves very nicely to 6fuds on the drilling). No better way to spend a blustery afternoon. So, what time would you consider latest set up time? shootnfish
Not much later than what you said i like to have atleast a couple of hours shooting, going to start getting lighter now so as the weeks go by we will get longer to shoot. kxkirk
I had a couple of hours on a half harvested field of sugarbeet. Started at about same time as you, ended up with 18 like you said more in 2 hours than a full days shooting over winter.

motty
From now until all through the summer, the latest that i would ideally want to set up would be 2-3 pm. This isn't always possible, of course, and i have still set up much later than that and had good sport. The latest i have set up and shot over 100 is probably about 3pm, at this time of year. The time i shoot will vary depending on the weather, what crops i am shooting on and also what farm i am shooting on.
pigeon controller
I've been feeding maples in the garden and the pigeons were feeding at 19.30 in the last two evenings. If your seed field is close to the roost they coul feed this late.
