Paladin
Don't forget that the commission has to go on top of your hammer bid, plus handling charge, and even a cash handling fee!! I've seen some public purchases almost double and the new owner which is what you will be as at the fall of the hammer you agree to the auction house rules. Check the Terms and Conditions, before you get auction fever.
cuzzy
every car i have had from the auctions has had something wrong with it i.e. clutch or gear box
neil w
Better off , buying private for a cheap first car, you can test drive it . Haggle the price down . or car is not up to scratch you can walk away . Private indemnity charges are horrendous at auctions .

truckboy1
As above I wouldn't bother with the auction for older cheaper cars that's where we traders dispose of all our ****, the auctions are good for late end of lease cars (3/4 year old )
