The Essex Hunter Posted April 20, 2013 Report Share Posted April 20, 2013 Of late the foxes have been quite scarce, which is probably a direct result of my continuing pressure on them….! This lad showed way off in the distance then disappeared only to reappear on my left crouching in the barley drillings. When I caught sight of him my lamp was off the gun, the half moon was lighting me up like a roman candle the wind had disappeared…however when they are off in the distance there confidence is there down fall. My lamp usually clips on like a Swiss watch…not this time!! Then it clicked in to place followed by the safety ….a crack in the still night and then the thud….
