njc110381
My silver pigeon arrived at the shop today, so I had to go and pick it up as quickly as I could. It's a great feeling to have my own shotgun, to be honest I never thought it would happen! I was really lucky with the wood on it. For a standard Silver Pigeon, it's very well figured. It looked better than all the other Berettas they had, so I'm glad I ordered it instead of making do with the 30" that was in stock. I got 250 Gamebore clear pigeon felts too, so that should keep me busy! I'm off down the farm tomorrow to see if anything's daft enough to give me an easy shot. If the birds are too far off and I'm not confident of a clean kill, I'll just have to wait until sunday for the clays. It's worth a look just in case I spot something simple

grumpy gouse
I have had my 30" silver pigeon for 2 weeks now and have been lucky enough to have been on two driven days. It shot like a dream, the balance of the gun is just perfect for me. I am sure you will enjoy your shooting even more now.
P03
Is it a 686S or a 687. I've never seen a 687 SP3 with bad wood, Berreta seem to have gone all out to source good wood for them.
njc110381
Martin, I'll try to get some pics up soon, but if I don't get chance you can take a look on the 23rd! Suggs, I went for the 28" because I do a lot of creeping around in hedges at my shoot, and wanted it to be fairly compact. I'm also fairly short, so it reduces the risk of me shoving the muzzles in the mud when I'm walking around the farm! The 30" is fairly well balanced too, maybe a bit muzzle heavy. They have quite heavy barrels for a game gun. PO3, not sure! It's a standard Silver Pigeon S Game gun, bottom of the range job

njc110381
It's great, lovely gun! I tried to post some pictures but was told that the file size was too big or something. Give up in the end!
