NickB65
Well I thought I would take the new gun for a little test over some young wheat on a good flight line. Just outside Cambridge near Burwell and windy but a steady flow from 10am to 2pm. Shot fifteen pigeons, one crow and missed about twenty down to sheer over exuberance and being a numpty. The flight where 20 + birds and once the bouncers were re- positioned they drew them close enough. The gun was a gem and I left at 2 with a huge smile. TIGHTCHOKE
Why was it a strange day? +1 You changed your set up and it worked! What was the new gun?
NickB65
It was a strange day in that there was loads of pigeons around, they would fly in to have a look then float off - some would come in and commit while others just rocketed past. Crows and rooks were really keen but i need to learn to keep a lot stiller..... but the pigeons just could not make their minds up.... The new gun is a FABARM ELOS 30" which has a longer LOP than the other and is multi-choke while the other was fixed 3/4 and full. If you discount the stupid shots.... where they where too far away or I was just not in balance then the ratio was very impressive considering last efforts.
