NickB65
My new FABARM ELOS needs an inch and a half added onto the stock to make it perfect. Now i have a neoprene sleave that is an inch which is fine but it moves so much - after every shot I have to adjust it. Just been to see a locla gun smith and to take of the current stock pad, bond an inch and half inch pad and then mold and apply will cost £170...... Anyone know anyone in the Cambridge area who could do the same but for less or know a good extension sleeve that will not more so much? craig hill
You sure you need an inch and a half? There's a 4 to 1 ratio on the lop, lengthen the stock by 1.5 inches you will open the gap between thumb and nose by 6inches?
seeker
Possibly Peter Godfrey at Royston or a chat w ith Paul Simpson at Newmarket ... he uses a stock of around 16"

With the pad on I shoot bang on but with it off I tend to be over...... I did try and get a gun with a 16" stock but it was either have one made.... mega wnga or have one extended..... bigman
I have a rubber type boot on mine there is no movement once it's fitted it's on there good and proper it's called a decelerator . I brought it from Sawston country store , Where did you get the quote from for £170 I'm also looking to have mine extended as I'm getting on well with it and plan on keeping so would like it to look as well as it shoots :-) . Wookie
I got a "shape to fit" 25mm extension blank and shaped it to fit my Beretta. Fits pretty much perfectly now. How come you need so much extra length? I've got gorilla arms and I only needed that extra inch (sorry...).
figgy
Thin build, long arms and neck, stance and gun mount or combination. Some lads a lot smaller than myself have longer gun stocks as their stance is almost like a pistol dueler, stood almost side on with gun across body. The quote was from the barn shop and what he proposed was good but too steep for me. I need 1.5" extention as it has .5" butt pad already so I woul dimagine you would unscrew this and then screw in a replacement which would be 1.5" - The shoe I have at present is a neoprene type and slides all over the place - might have to have a look in the Country Store and see what they have. I only need an 1" on what is already there so a more firm show might do the trick.
Wookie
I know a man in St. Neots that would be able to do something for you at probably cheaper than that. I'll see if I can dig out his phone number for you. I've found that the Country Store tends to be cheaper than the Barn Shop for some things. My Pachmayr recoil pad was 24.99 from them and 34.99 from the Barn Shop.
