sako 22.250 barrel

:hmm:http://www.sako.fi/rifles.php

I don't know, but I'm not quite following, if you had concerns/questions what didn't you check with Sako/GMK/The RFD before you bought it?

It's a bit difficult to try and add some back on if you want it longer! :good:

EDIT

I may be wrong but doesn't that suggest 510mm (20") or 600mm (23.75") barrels?

yup years ago they where all 24 inch barrel for the 22/250 and 243 and 20 inch was a order.,

now they have turned full circle and its the other way round.

silly not making the 204.22/250 and 243 with 24 inch barrel as standard if you ask me. they are varmint calibres after all.

Seems to me they just do it in a 20" now i know that when i got mine it was 24" but it was a while ago.

Dont worry you will soon shoot it out Simon  Then you can put one on as long as you want. Let me know how you get on with it out on a long walk. Mine weighs in at a tad under 14lb. Even the pick-up struggles at times when i take it out , When you end up with a smooth bore i would go with a 12" twist next time and 26" :good:

ye cheers dougy, ive rang the shop they say i can swap it if i want so think i am gona do,being truth full the sako 85 feels small like a rim fire, the old 75 handles a lot better i think, the stanless version comes with a 23half inch barrel, or i could get a remy yet with a 26inch one,at the moment i wish ide of rebarreld my old 75 , but you learn from your mistakes,at least i still have my sako 75 6ppc, to me the gun is priceless ha ha..
