ollie
My 4 year old Springer Spaniel has been limping badly for the last couple of days and it has got to the point where she is carrying her leg now. We are taking her to the vet this evening, but do you guys have any suggestions what the problem may be? I have felt the leg and there is no swelling so I am worried it might be her hip. Fingers crossed it is not a big problem.
al4x
fingers crossed its not cruciate related as that sounds similar to my mates who had the problem
unclestuffy
It may seem a bit daft but have you run your fingers over the pads, I have pulled a few thorns and hazel spears out before now. That is te first thing I check when one of the dogs starts to limp. Hope you get sorted
ollie
fingers crossed its not cruciate related as that sounds similar to my mates who had the problem Thanks mate. The thing is she has only been out for walks recently and hasn't been working properly for a few months. It may seem a bit daft but have you run your fingers over the pads, I have pulled a few thorns and hazel spears out before now. That is te first thing I check when one of the dogs starts to limp. Hope you get sorted Thanks mate, but I always do the same and check the pads, no sign of anything in her pads.
