Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get a real human on the other end of the line due to the sheer plethora of menus you have to go through and the sheer amount of time involved. There is an answer at hand, http://www.gethuman.com/uk/ has a list of ways to bypass the menu system of many major companies and institutions and get to a real flesh and blood human being who can hopefully resolve your "customer service" issue in a timely manner. I got the link from thos nice people at Which Magazine so it should be good. For anybody residing in the former colonies across the Atlantic you have your own "cheats" you can either find it on the site or substitute the final uk/ for us/ or ca/ Happy moaning.
