belly47 Posted June 23, 2013 Report Share Posted June 23, 2013 morning all I have just obtained permission over 200 acres which has major pigeon and corvid problem. my only experience with pigeons previously has been shooting the odd one that would pass my way whilst out for rabbits i need to start decoying and have done somef reading on patterns etc but need some advice as to what kit i would need to get started and what i can do with out seems to be many types of decoys out there but what do you recommend hope you can help cheers belly Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KFC Posted June 23, 2013 Report Share Posted June 23, 2013 Half a dozen FUDS, a flapper and a bit of camo netting. I like a face veil too, corvids will see a face from a long way off. Add the first shot bird to the flapper and the rest to the pattern. For the shot birds, cut off the breasts and put the carcass in the freezer to give a start next time. Keep it simple to start. I'm having this exact issue, best mates a farmer so have land to shoot but I go out, get on the iPhone, read up abut and have a go.......shoot ****** all. And reapeat. Haha but learning about flight lines etc and will buy a decoy set soon. Any one post up a decent starter pack off net or link to eBay because they vary a lot ?
